In these current times for some reason the customer service is a problem in general throughout all types of businesses who claim to be customer service focused. It appears now that all those employees are very stressed all the time, and only a slight problem will cause the customer service representatives to become a bit angry, and it's just the normal course of business.

Previously in business most companies addressed customer service as a priority and felt that the customer is always right, and for good reasons. Should you be in control of a company then you know that your customer is who is buying your product or service, so this puts them as number one and the central focus of your company. However it appears that a lot of companies are abandoning this outstanding practice and are just doing whatever to react to the the customers, even the ones who aren't very courteous.

Of course, it can be difficult and sometimes taxing to work with the public especially a disgruntled or dissatisfied customer but grin and bear it should be the rule and a customer service representative should never get in an argument or confrontation with a customer this is just a very bad idea. A customer centered philosophy is so much more pleasant for everyone it just seems that it is simpler than engaging in an all out battle with customers.

While these are definitely important issues to customers most still would like to be treated with kindness and respect which is a rare occurrence these days.

While it is understandable that the airlines have had to forgo some customer perks to address these very serious issues there is no reason why their customer service representatives can't be more pleasant to deal with.
